ONE TO ONE TRAINING
All our training is based on a one to one basis (even before Covid-19). We firmly believe that for a dog and owner to learn, the best place is NOT a church hall, with lots of dogs barking and distracting from the lesson itself.
We start all packages with an initial consultation, to try and ascertain what the training needs are, to include a full history and background from you, together with an analysis of what you want to achieve. We then assess your dog to discover their current engagement and training level, enabling a training plan to be developed.
Staffordshire Dog Training’s one to one sessions are recommended to be booked as a block of 6, this enables continuity of training, ensuring you obtain the most out of our sessions.
As a rule of thumb we cover:
- Stay – with and without distractions
- Recall – with and without distractions
- Loose lead walking
- General manners
All training is positive and reward based, using clickers, markers and verbal commands etc. We will tailor all lessons to you and your dog’s specific needs achieving your dogs best possible outcomes.
Cost £150 for the initial assessment thereafter, £75 for one and a half hours or, £500 for six one to one training sessions (paid in advance).
Don’t have the time to dedicate to weekly lessons, but happy to continue the work within your daily routine? Why not try residential training…
Our two week bespoke residential programme will see your dog stay in our family home, with my family for an intense training programme, lasting for the full two weeks. During this two week period your dog will be by my side, training all day at a variety of training venues which I utilise.. We will teach as a general rule:
- Basic obedience and manners
- Loose Lead Walking
- All with and without distractions
We will tailor the training to specific requirements and all will be delivered with positive reward based training. At the end of the day, your dog will relax in our family home with ourselves, catching up on some sleep ready for the next day!
At the end of the training you will be given a full handover, where you will then be trained in the methods used enabling you to continue the good work once home.
Cost £1,000 for two weeks
Please note no aggressive dogs, we will only work with the owner in one to one sessions for dogs who show aggression after an initial behaviour assessment.

The initial assessment is at a fixed price of £150, all future training costs are discussed in full at the assessment stage, prior to you deciding if you wish to proceed.
